Here's the difference...

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛CS (Computer Science) requires only 20 compulsory courses, whereas SE (Software Engineering) requires much more. It is possible to get the B.S.degree in as fast as two years. SE will take you four full years to get the B.E. degree unless you can transfer over some credits. If you want to get out quickly, I suggest you to go with CS. CS is also much more flexible than SE. It's up to you to set your pace. In SE, you take 36-37 units every year, no more no less. CS courses are pretty much similar with SE courses. If you read the course calendar carefully, you'll find CS is focused more on algorithms, operating systems, etc.

A B.E. degree plus four years of working experience will maky you qualify as an Professional Engineer. PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario) has recently accredited MAC's innovative SE program. So if you are young and willing to become a Professional Engineer, go to SE. SE course emphasizes engineering process, and offers courses on real time systems, communication systems, networking, etc.

MAC's Computer Engineering is more on the hardware side. Don't choose it if you are interested in software.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
