Intermediate Hydrogeologist or Engineer
The Position
An intermediate hydrogeologist or engineer is required for our team of hydrogeologists, environmental engineers and civil engineers in London. The successful candidate will:
· Take part in a wide variety of physical and contaminant hydrogeology projects. Specific work may include Phase I and II ESAs, site remediation planning and implementation and water supply.
· Under guidance from senior staff, conduct field investigations including soil and groundwater investigations, pump tests and contaminated site investigations.
· Analyse field data, produce conclusions and recommendations and prepare reports.
· Manage small to intermediate size projects, including client liaison.
This position will initially involve working under the supervision of senior team members, with the opportunity to rapidly assume increasing autonomy and responsibility.
Qualifications
· Four years relevant experience is preferred, but consideration will be given to strong candidates who may not fulfill this requirement.
· Strong, all-round academic knowledge of hydrogeology, including physical and contaminant hydrogeology.
· Academic qualifications which give the candidate eligibility for professional registration in Ontario.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills are essential.
London is a great city to live in, combining an historic city and high standard of living. Positioned in the agricultural heartland of southwestern Ontario, the City of London is a rapidly growing manufacturing and industrial area. The London area is well known as the Forest City, and opportunities for recreation and urban life abound.
