The Position:
This is an intermediate technical role in a Toronto-based professional
consulting firm. imason works with some of the best companies in
Canada, helping them establish a vision for the future and then
working towards it using the latest Microsoft technology. We’re a
small team of highly motivated individuals, striving to match the
right Microsoft technology solution to a wide variety of business
problems.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a University degree in Computer
Science or Engineering and at least 2 years experience working in the
software industry. This is a consulting position, and frequently
involves working at our customers sites on projects. Strong
consulting skills are required.
In addition, substantial experience with Microsoft .Net technology is
a must, and experience with Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server (SPS)
is highly desirable. Previous experience leading a small development
team, and strong written and oral presentation skills would also be an
asset. As the leader of small teams, and in some cases the primary
customer contact, you will show discipline and be able to manage and
motivate the people working with you.
This position requires experience with most or all of:
• Microsoft’s Internet technology running on Windows 2000 or
Windows 2003
• Microsoft .Net Development (C# preferred)
• Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server (SPS)
• eXtensible Markup Language (XML)
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Message Queue
• Microsoft Biztalk Server
• COM/COM+/Microsoft Transaction Server
On the process side, we use Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) and/or
the Rational Unified Process (RUP) to structure our project management
tasks. Keep in mind that more than anything, we want people with a
passion for building great Internet systems.
