I check the Microsoft webside as Pyramid directed and found a explaination: when running Office XP in Win98, the IME 5.02 will not work.

So I searched and downloaded a specific file for Office XP in Win 98. When I was installing, I got two messages:

"A required resource appears to be corrupted."

"-2147023084: Internal error in Windows Installer."

What shall I do now?

Background:

I am using Windows 98 with Office 2002, which does not include PowerPoint. I bought a PowerPoint XP last week and installed it. Then, my Chinese Inputting Method was gone. I tried Uninstall / Install a few times, it is still gone.
