Need your help!!! Networking problem.

Components:
1 desktop: Win98
1 laptop: Winxp, Sony VAIO
ISP: Cogeco
Router: Inexq BR400


Symptoms:
1. The laptop can login Internet, but quickly lost connection after 10 minutes or so.
At the same time, the desktop also lost connection. After disconnect the cord to the laptop, the desktop works properly again.
2. Use another laptop (let’s say laptop B) connect to the router, in the first 10 minutes the 3 computers work well, but after that the laptop (Sony Vaio) lost connection again, and the other 2 computers also lost connection soon. After plug out the cord to the laptop Sony Viso, the desktop and the laptop B work very well,


Couldn’t figure out any problem. Please give me a hand, thank you very much…

    • Virus in VAIO is using the most of your bandwidth sending rubbish, then all regular request cannot be send out, so why the internet seems lost. Go to symantec or mcafee or trendmicro websites for more information.
      • Thank you. Additional symptom: The Viso laptop can login Internet by Sympatico, and work stablely.
        Could u give me more instruction on how to kill the virus. I checked the websites u mentioned, but seems like too much content for me. I don't where to look for useful information.
