本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛How to make Rogers' email account to work with SR500
With cable Internet services, such as Rogers cable, customer can access Internet but can't get email to work after install the SR500 router. Ovislink provides some solutions here.
Way 1:
1. Connect a computer to the cable modem directly. Make sure the email works fine.
2. From Start/Program to enter MS-DOS prompt mode.
3. Type ping POP3, to get an IP address like (pop.net2.rte1.rogers.mail3.com) 24.113.123.xx
4. If you are sure net2.rte1.rogers.mail3.com is Rogers' domain name, you can simply use this name as SR500's domain name (in File/Configuration/Global Port/Domain Name). Then you are able to use POP3 and SMTP as incoming/outgoing mail server name as before.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
