I am ordering a Dell computer, Dimention 4600 with P4 2.66Mhz, 512M RAM, 80G HD, DVD Drive, and 15" LCD for $1299 + shipping + taxes. When I asked a 17" LCD, I felt totally lost.
I was told that I have 3 options: analog, digital, and digital TV. The sales rep seems like to push me into the TV. And the price tag, after all shipping, warrantee and taxes, now becomes $2400. He insisted me to get 3 year on site warrantee.
Now, my question is that what are the advantages of a digital TV vs. normal digital LCD monitor? If I spend few hundred dollars for some fancy features That I will seldom use, I am wasted my money. Which 17" monitor would you go for?
