Insert the software CD that came with the printer into the computer CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

NOTE: When the screen says looking for hardware devices, plug the USB or parallel (1015 only) cable in and be certain the printer is powered up and in a ready state.

    等很长时间也找不到打印机，按cancel后，安装程序全退回去了。如此反复多次。用"Add printer" 装后连Test Page也打印不了。我帮查了HP.com也没有相关内容，那位DX 有似经验？

      一般情况下，打印机连好以后，win2000或XP会自动发现的。如果你的打印机没有被发现，请检查你的机子的USB口是否已经enabled. 如果没有，你可以进入BIOS的setup 去 enable USB口。
