I am using Sympatico Hi-speed internet, which works fine with my computer with W2K, but when I try to connect with router (Linksys 4 port Ethernet), I cannot access internet anymore.
I followed the instruction from the manual of my Router carefully, but I have no idea what the trick is. I enabled the PPPoe and Dynamic IP address. When I use Ipconfig to check, it shows the same IP address as without router: 169.254.122.197 and gateway: empty, However, it should show IP: 192.168.1.100 and Gateway : 192.168.1.1 after using router.
I do not know why.
