I mean the network traffic that flows through my intranet. I have my mail server running 24x7 and the traffic is quite huge. This will bring down the router that connects to Rogers via its Cable Modem.
The symptom is that the default gateway does not forward your IP packets to outside. You cannot ping any hosts on the Internet as your ICMP requests cannot be forwarded to any DNS server; even you try directly pinging an IP address, it will not go through because that gateway does not work at all.
What I am doing is to release the IP information and renew it. Although the renewal gives me the SAME configuration, the same IP and default gateway, DNS, it starts to WORK!! No idea of what's going on....
