One day is a little bit hurry. The Cable Cars are the most impressive. You can not see them anywhere in the world. It is surprised that the ticket of the Cable Cars are so cheap $5 USD (not sure now)? You can get on the Cable Cars in the downtown and get off on the top of the city. Then you can watch the beautiful scene of the sea and the city as well as the Golden Gate bridge. Watching the sunset on the top of the mountain, you will feel, my God, how could the mountain, the sea, the bridge be in one city.
Golden Gate Bridge is the second site you must visit. The China town is acturlly a street with many Chinese resturants. Even in the summer SF is very cold although the Sun is shine. At night there are some bars opened. Like Toronto there are many artists in SF. Next day you can take the "Go" train to visit neighbor cities.
