Dear UTACSS members:
UTCSSA is officially registered at the University of Toronto as a non-profit, non-political, social organization of Chinese students and scholars, aiming at establishing friendship with other CSSAs, Chinese and Canadian organizations, organizing Chinese cultural and festival events, promoting entertainment and sports activities, and bridging the information exchange among its members. Currently we have over 2000 members.
Q: Who are eligible to join UTACSS?
A: According to UTACSS Constitution, anyone from China who meets one of the following criteria is eligible for UTACSS membership:
(1) Those who have ever studied or are studying at U of T, or their family,
(2) Those who have ever worked or are working at U of T, or their family, or
(3) Those who are interested in UTACSS activities, and have a university degree.
Q: I registered last year. Should I register again this year?
A: Membership is renewed annually. The membership card will be valid from September 2000 to the end of September of 2001. To be maintained as the member status, you should renew it in October, 2001 or after.
Q: Why should I join UTACSS? What are the benefits?
A: A registered UTACSS member can have at least the following benefits:
(a) Members are entitled to discount rates, i.e., pay less than non-members at all UTACSS activities/events. Some examples of our events are: Movie show; Dance & karaoke party; Spring Festival Show; Trips to Ski Centers, Casino Rama, African
Lion Safari, Marineland & Great Falls, Bethune Memorial House; Soccer Tournament; Fishing trip; Seminars and so on.
(c) You have the privilege to join our e-mail lists, sharing information with other members, getting notified by UTACSS of our upcoming events.
(d) As a UTACSS member, you may have discounted services with many companies, check out the Hot Links.
