Otherwise he might need to get a lawyer to sue the homeowner.since usually the Insurance company will represent the landlord and they have expertise lawyers in those cases. So if they can give a reasonable number to cover the loss, it might easily reach an agreement before go to the court. But if the landlord refuses to cooperate, going to court maybe inevitable.
