This is the traditional peak time for the spring migration. But we are quite likely seeing some foul weather this weekend. The bird flow seems to be somehow held up this year over there. I didn't find as many species as I had expected and I talked to another birder at Wheatly and he had the same impression. My suggestion is that be there as early as possible and drive all the way to the visitor centre and start from there south bound toward the tip and cover the trails really carefully. There wasn't much to be seen at the marsh with the long boardwalk. So have you binocular and reference booklet handy and everything else depends on luck. Please don't feed or chase the birds and stay on the trails.
