of course there's a hope. But I don't know if it will work.

Capitalization has generated tremendous wealth and developed advanced technologies. But on the other hand it destroied fundamental of humanity. Money is everything. We used all we can think of to max the profits: pesticide, food additives, concentrated drinks, genetic altered food...They are everywhere. Almost all the water and food have been tampered with. The cure? more drugs.

It's such an irony that while more and more western people are turning their attentions to Chinese medicine, health care and philosophy, more and more Chinese ditched these treasures and treated them like garbage.

I maybe too pessimistic. But that's what I saw.

    • Yesterday, I heard the anouncement from radio FM96.3, a movie will show in Bloor Cinema, <Food Matters>. I went tonight. Wow, there're several hundred people stood in the line waiting to get into the theatre!
Apart from TIFF (Toronto Int'l Film Festival), one can rarely see that scene! The theatre was packed. After the movie, there's a Q&A (question and answering) session. The audiance gave it loud cheers.

It's not only about food, but also about nutritions and medicine
(I'll post some highlights if I have some time)
      • closer to main stream now :P. food and medicine, my favorite topics, wash my ears to listen...
        • You should watch my posts closer. Lots of info. Last night's movie is really something. I just wonder if I should finish typing all I can remember, or just post as I still typing. My Chinese typing is slowwwwww.
          • envy you have the time. From the trailer I can see it's really something, You are what you eat. After watching The 11th Hours, Sicko, Supersize Me (and this one for sure), I know we are doomed. And we can do nothing about it.
            • Not really. Do not loose hope. This movie provides some ways. Ppl're talking detox, might not know how. The simpliest way is drinking water, a lot of it, drink/eat fruit. One person in the movie suggest a way we Chinese
have started long time ago (however, few still keep doing it), drinking water early in the morning before you take any drink/food. You may try it for a period. It should work. You'd feel fresh
I lke some of the suggestions in the movie. In their words, it's easy, it's simple, it's cheap and it's effective. Everyone of us can do it

                • That's when we should attend those activities, to see, listen, think, judge, and to try it out. Aftet the movie, I started seeing hopes and doing things it suggested.
            • I don't want to benefit just for myself. So I share what I learnt to ppl who are interested. So the time I spent is worth.
              • really appreciated
