Airline will ignore you because the condtion of sale of the ticket. Before you purchase the ticket you should know the term/condition. You can not even complain and no one will listen to your problem. You can only buy another ticket.

Airline ticket has term and condition because of the ticket price. You must abide the term and condtion for the ticket, if you make changes within the restriction, you will either pay a penalty or forfeit your ticket. You can not alter the date or endoresment for discount or group ticket with restricted condtions. Airline has nothing to do with the sale of the ticket because you bought it from the Travel Agency. You are out of luck, you have no right to sue or take legal action, you will lose your case. You can not even complain because you breach the ticket rule, it is your fault, not the Travel agency. The bottom line is that you have to buy a new ticket.

    票是一年有效的, 到09年6月。 返程他们说不能open, 就 随便放个日子,是11月30日。现在准备二月份回去,他们说必须要在11月30之前改期,现在已经作废了。
    有没有什么办法?

    • 感觉你是应该在11月30日通知. 因为在航空公司看来你已经定好日期, 所以他那张票可能就没有销售. 吃一堑长一智, 去和航空公司交涉吧, 把损失减少到最少. 也给大家一次教训, 既然一年open的, 尽量给自己更大的余地.
      • My opinion is that the ticket is expired and void. You must buy a new ticket. Don't waste time to ask Airline to help you in this case.

    • 既然是一年open , 当然就该把回程日期放在有效期的最后一天,这种事情都该告诉顾客。 他们出票的时候对顾客说,你随便定个日子,那他们就自己不能放在最后一天,还死命问顾客随便说个日子,这种做travel agency 的都不称职!以后就不要再去天宝买了

      • If the ticket is valid until June 2009 with a cause and penalty, you should go back to the travel agency to change the date providing that you comply with the term and condition for paying a fee. Check your ticket endoresment and code.
        You can take this agency to Small Claim Court for arbitration according to the term and condition in the endorsement if it is a group fare ticket or excursion ticket.
        If nothing works out your problem, I guess you have to go up CN tower and jump until you hit the ground, you can solve your problem for good.
    • Please check the endorsement in the ticket, If the the term/condtion as per ticket code such as Y (regular) , C (coach) fare, YL21 (economy class max 21 days), YE120,...etc These codes are fare basis. Check it before you go for next step.
      Please check if there is a penalty cause to change date or you must book before Nov 30, 2008. If the penalty is void after Nov 30, you have no legal case. If there is nothing to mention about the hidden condition, you can take your argument to Small Claim Court to sue this agency for a refund due to misleading in ticket fare condtition then you have a case. You must check your ticket code for fare basis before you take action. Good luck!
    • You can call Airline to explain the ticket endorsement & fare basis. Then you will know the condtion of the ticket if the agency has informed you correctly. They can verify that for you. Make sure you do your homework first.
    • If you can prove the agency lied to you, take this agency to court. File your complaint to Ontario Consumer Relation, Better business Bureau, City TV & Toronto Daily Star & all possible media for help.

      到天宝Kenedy office去了。她们是这样一步一步换着刀想砍你:
      1. 铺垫:
      电话里先是讲你的票作废了,谁也没办法,重买票吧。我不放口,她们后来又打回来,说可以退票,我能拿到200块。
      2. 大砍刀。
      在她们office, 无耻的女人,叫Dianna. 给她们ticket office 电话,我听到了,说我可以退450. 她马上说我必须交200, 她们才给办。我怒,一分也不给,僵持了一段时间。
      3. 换刀,宰一点算一点。
      我威胁要sue她们找说法,她让我跟她们经理谈。经理说你给250, 我给你改期。 我想就算了吧ok,等了近一个小时,她们说the Air Canada agent不给办,又让别人接着call Air Canada. 半小时,还不行。
      4. 放弃了,碰到滚刀肉了。
      告诉我,我可以直接call AirCanada,改期。经理还不错,讲多试几次,不同的人可能处理不一样。

      结果:
      我晚上call AirCanada,the nice lady didn't ask anything and changed the date for me with NO SHOW charge of $200.

      花了时间,学了知识。知道她们怎么想方设法宰你了。她们只在乎自己赚多少,才不管你的损失。

    • 一般來說只要no show一定會有罰款,好像是200上下,所以如不確定日期可以往後訂一點,如果真的無法如期出發一定要打電話請anget先把你的位置砍了,這樣就不會有no show的罰款,但會有改票的費用,但通常改票比罰款便宜多了!
