The language is just a tool for communication. Of course, some people speak better and some don't. This is even true among those native English speakers. In my team, one American lady likes to use the word "huge". Whatever she talks about, she always emphasizes that it is a huge problem. Our business owever is an American boy. Whenever he askes us to develop some functionality, he always say "this is critical". All of our developers know what they mean by "huge" and "critical", so we always make fun of them by asking: "Is is a huge one?" or "Is is critical?".

One of my former colleages likes to say "fantastic". If I could not hear this word with her, probably she was in a blue mood. One the other hand, my neighbour always says "terrific". She is a movie fan. Whatever movies she sees, her comments are always "terrific!". For us English-language speakers, we can always learn something if we are not picky on others.
