Notice: The oxygen sensor uses a permanently attached pigtail and connector. Do not remove the pigtail from the oxygen sensor. Damage to or removal of the pigtail of connector could affect proper operation of the oxygen sensor.
Important: Take care when handling the Oxygen sensor(O2S 1). The in-line electrical connector and louvered end must be kept free of grease, dirt or other contaminats. Avoid using cleaning solvents of any type. DO NOT drop or roughly handle the O2S1.
Important: The O2S 1 may be difficult to remove when the engine remperature is below 48C(120F).
Notice: The use of excessive force may damage the threads in the exhaust pipe.
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the O2S 1 electrical connector
3. Carefully remove the O2S 1.
