几十位老人第二期集体游昨日启程,顺利到达墨西哥Riviera Maya +7251138@0

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Fly to Cancun and enjoy a scenic drive south to the fascinating Riviera Maya which stretches over 150 kms from Cancun to Tulum, and is the State of Quintana Roo's fastest growing area. Low dense jungle vegetation is on both sides of the road, and as the hotels are right on the beaches, set back from the road, you hardly see any signs of life apart from vendors selling serapes or other handicrafts. When you reach your destination and turn off the highway, you are in another world. The beaches are magnificent. Since many of the hotels in this area are somewhat isolated, each offers a wide range of activities and dining alternatives. Many properties are of the luxury standard, so if you are stressed out and deserve pampering, this may well be the ideal choice for you.
In Playa del Carmen itself, once merely the stopping off point for the ferry to Cozumel, there has been considerable development but the town itself has kept its old world charm. The shopping and restaurants here offer a good variety, and the whole town is very photogenic.
Since you are practically on the doorstep of Tulum, there is no excuse not to visit this fascinating site. The only walled city built by the Maya, and dating from the 16th century, it is right on a cliff overlooking the sea and the welcome breeze refreshes whilst your knowledgeable guide conducts the tour. Take a water bottle and wear good shoes, you will be glad you did. Great photo opportunities here, especially if you spot one of the many large iguanas basking on the warm stones. Also within close range is Xel-ha, a park and natural aquarium with four interlocking lagoons offering great swimming and snorkeling.
Avid birdwatchers might want to travel as far south as Sian Ka'an, where a UNESCO designated heritage site of more than one million acres is home to an abundance of birds and animals.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

      • Devoting your time to share joyful life with elderly people is a very rewarding experience in life. We all are getting old someday. Life is more meaningful to help seniors. Thank you for your effort.
    • Good job, Captain Mike! You are awesome!
    • When is the next trip? BTW, Capital Mike, any activities/gatherings scheduled in 2012 at Major Mac/Yonge senior center?
      • It will be decided by seniors themselves. I am a volunteer only to help.
        • But they are every where in the city. Do you have a mailing list?
          • yes. I have mailing list. Seniors from Cuba trip in 2011 decided the Mexico trip in 2012. They will plan the next one after this Mexico trip for 2013
