Do you know why all Chinese have a beautiful and very loud name, such names as Ding, Guang, Ping, Pang? They all sound like something. Each one of the names has a beautiful story behind it.

Since ancient China, all Chinese families must have a big vessel. Based on the family status, the vessels are made of different materials. The emperor would have a golden one, his ministers would have silver vessels, copper vessels, and some even have cloisonné, ceramic ones and middle class people would have vessels made of brass or iron. Poor people would have wood vessels, or even mud vessels.

When a child is born, the mother is very excited; she grabs the child’s one leg and climbing very high with a ladder. When she thinks she is high enough, she drops the child into the vessel, of course, her child would make a very loud noise and she would name her child with the very sound that she captures.
