Reporting Structure: Experience/Education Requirements:
· Reports directly to PDC Operations Leader · High School diploma.
· Two years’ related work experience is an asset.
· Ability to work with limited supervision.
· Knowledge of parts numbering system is an asset.
· Ability to operate Materials Handling Equipment is an asset.
· Ability to work various shifts.
· Basic computer skills.
· Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
Purpose of the Role: Compliance Training Requirements:
· To receive, stock and ship parts in and out of the Toronto Parts Distribution Centre. · Toyota Way
· TBP

· TDG Act & Regulations
· TDG – Function Specific
· WHMIS
· Spill Training
· Fit Testing
· 3-Day Course on Material Handling Equipment Certification Training
· Material Handling Equipment Certification Training
Scope or Impact:
· Cost impact if parts are incorrectly handled.
· Direct impact on customer satisfaction and PDC reputation.
· Lack of safety awareness and misuse of materials handling equipment could result in injury.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
· Checks incoming shipments for discrepancies during breakdown.
· Positions parts in assigned location.
· Locates new stock and relocates current stock to effectively utilize the available cube space based on volume, type and movement of stock.
· Records and reports all stock location changes and new locations set-up.
· Report instances of mixed or misplaced stock and take corrective action.
· Report damaged and incomplete stock and any other stock where the packaging is not in a saleable condition.
· Replenish low stock situations in locations that appear on the reserve report
· Pick, pack, label and process outgoing shipments in accordance with procedures and instructions.
· Operate material handling equipment as and when required.
· Report unsafe conditions.
· Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
· Assist in physical inventory count.
· Assist in maintaining accurate and current computer records by ensuring that all input is processed on a timely basis within established and required standards.
· Other duties as requested or required.
Work Efficiency:
· Initiates and implements appropriate 'kaizen' (continuous improvement) efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies;
· Locks in and measures incremental success through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
· Standardizes and shares successes across the team or organization through 'Yokoten' (shares best practices); continues to improve through kaizen and shares again.
