Position: Mechanic
Reports to: Industrial Maintenance Manager
Description:
Assemble, adjust, service, repair and maintain all filling, assembly and packaging equipment, mixers, conveyors and miscellaneous equipment (most of them are PLC controlled) for plant operation with direction from Industrial Maintenance Managers & supervisor.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the complete set-up of filling and assembly equipment on assigned production line.
• Must be able to develop skills to meet required change over standards•
• Ability to change and adjust process equipment; filling heads, capper torque, labelers, pumps etc. and additional ancillary equipment.
• Load components into hoppers or bins during initial set up and assist line service if required to keep filling lines running.
• Must be able to respond to job assignments plant wide.
• Fabricate parts, as necessary, utilize shop equipment
• Assist in training of machine operators.
• Must be able to run and maintain filling & packing equipment in a safe, efficient manner and assist in quality production.
• Inspect and recommend repairs as needed to maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor or operate equipment in accordance with established procedure.
• Complete job assignments assigned by Supervisor or Designee in a prompt and timely manner.
• Comply with company policy regarding GMP, good housekeeping, and all safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned but not limited to the above.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years experiences in maintenance of manufacturing type equipment or equivalent.
• Ability to operate power tools in addition to common hand tools safely and effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with an innovative approach to solving mechanical problems.
• Working knowledge of PLC controlled machines.
• Effective communication skills in English and Chinese.
