Responsibilities:
• Analyzing inventory and sales movement across all business units and warehouses
• Assisting buyers with order planning, taking into account seasonality of both supply and demand, lead time, replenishment strategies, and sales movement
• Evaluating inventory levels, turns, and age, with the goal of maximizing efficiencies and profitability
• Communicating upcoming product shortages and overages with relevant personnel, and assisting in the development and execution of action plans; maintaining shortages and opportunity lists
• Managing inventory levels in all warehouses
• Communicating with sales as it relates to demand fluctuations
• Maintaining and ensuring integrity of forecasts
• Meeting targets for inventory turns, overall inventory holdings, and order fill rates
• Maintaining accurate inventory databases and reports
• Some replenishment purchasing from established local vendors
