POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Wealth and Capital Markets, maintains and operates industry leading wealth management solutions to serve our clients’ needs for brokerage processing (e-settlement), portfolio management and administration (MVest), shareholder record keeping (Primebase), plan administration (CORE), foreign exchange trading (Object Charlie / Fx Sentry) and mortgage securitization (SwixMortgage).
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Leading a team of 15+ Project Members (Business Analysts, Developers and Testers)
• Maintaining and evolving Product Performance capabilities, standards and processes
• Monitoring project and project manager performance
• Define, lead and direct performance optimization activities to meet both online and batch SLAs
• Investigate, troubleshoot and fix performance bottlenecks as required to meet SLA
• Producing and reviewing project documents as required
• Acting as a point of escalation for project issues and analysis when required
• Providing input into resource assignments and allocation to projects
• Ensuring the quality of all deliverables
• Ensure achievement of personal and team objectives and financial targets
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post secondary degree in a relevant discipline. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also possess a Masters Degree in a related discipline, or a combination of a technical degree with an MBA
• 10 + years of IT Technical experience and expertise at a senior level
• Experience in leading and developing senior level IT strategy and/or architectural talent with diverse and specialized subject matter expertise
• Successful track record in performance optimization and tuning of java and Oracle database applications
• Successful track record of business development support, service delivery and team development within a consulting or internal client environment
* Experience in leading, performing root cause analysis on high transaction volume of Java/J2EE Weblogic applications and Oracle Databases environments
• Highly developed communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
• A strong level of comfort being in a client-facing role, interacting at a senior executive level internally and with client’s senior executives
• Strong interpersonal and leadership/management skills with a proven ability to collaborate with immediate team members as well as with other consulting practices and business development representatives
• Pragmatic approach with a view to developing innovative, cost-effective and implementable solutions
• Proficiency in software development lifecycle
