Rcmp
That some criminal charges have been filed against me
By Ontario provincial govt.
For tax evasion
And they were coming to arrest me
The main thing here is that the phone call display
Is from an actual RCMP HQ phone
And they make it sound very official
And that too coming from actual RCMP HQ phone in Ottawa.
So be careful
It is a scam
Going on these days.

I hung up after a while I got suspicious
When they said outstanding tax had to be settled in cash immediately
Or they would come and arrest me
Then I called the local police
And even they were clueless
They said they googled the number and it was from actual rcmp

But the real problem is that they make the call originate from actual RCMP phone.
In ottawa

Anyhow I then called RCMP
And there the msg was call the local police
So I had the local police give me the direct RCMP number

And the guy at RCMP said that this scam was going on these days because it is the tax season

Since Apr 1, they have been calling

Yes, if you check up the call display it belongs to official rcmp
Then I also checked this website announcement
