我的意思是,如果你同时有rrsp投资和非rrsp投资,在组和的时候最好将固定收益类放在rrsp下面,资产增值类放在外面,这样税率上更划算。

generate interest income的投资增长一般很慢。如果把增值快的放在non-registered的里面,因为收益大,其实交的税并不少,而且因为不能tax-free的累积,最终的增值会少很多。

interest income的缺点是你需要每一年都为当年的利息缴税,而放在rrsp里面就只需要在取出的时候缴税,这样你每年可以将省下的税金继续投资

老板发你工资10万,年底给你奖金5万,你可以理解成5万是capital gain吗?要100%交税吗?整个15万都是你的income,整个都要100%交税。也就是说RRSP是税前的fund,拿出来的时候,不管是本金,还是多年来投资回报,你还从来没交过税呢,都是100%交税。之间的每年挣多少,赔多少,CRA根本不管,也不要求银行向它汇报,只有存入、取出时,才汇报。所以“”“capital gain在RRSP里面是100% taxable,不是50%” ----就是概念混乱。

而且是不是capital gain和我买capital的钱有没有打税没有关系。如果我用偷税省下来的钱买股票,被查出来以后股票的增值要100%打税?所以你工资的例子并不恰当。

在resp账户里,政府grant只是一小部分,大部分的都是父母的税后收入。由这些钱产生的capital gain,在取出时也和rrsp一样要100%打税,这样用你的理论不就讲不通了。

说点个人看法:capital gain on resp原则上应该也是50%课税,但是因为gain on resp principle有各种各样的收入,interest,dividend and capital gain,特别是有些group RESP pool (像猫头鹰基金),如果每笔收入都追踪是不是capital gain,那些属于grant 哪些属于principle,追踪长达10几年,管理成本太高,所以一视同仁都按100%收税。

不要再误导大家了,同样的投资,如果将来退休后RRSP取出时税率不大于现在 一定是RRSP划算税前100用于投资,30%税率(现在,退休假设都一样),一年收益5%。RRSP投一年后取出是 105x70%=73.5; NON-RRSP 税后70投一年得70*1.05%=73.5,再要交capital gain tax (73.5-70)/2*30%=0.53,得到72.98. 加大投资年数,以及预期将来税率减少,必须RRSP收益更高啊。
