Foreign Income Tax Credit?

The Dividend withholding tax from US stocks is non-recoverable. You should try to avoid buying US dividend stocks in TFSA account, buy them in RRSP instead, there's no withholding tax.

This is exactly why it has been allways recommended to have US stocks and/or US stock based funds in your RRSP accountsNo T form issued, No way to claim it. You will have it lost forever. Have US stocks and/or US stock based funds in your RRSP accounts. According to the US-CA agreement, US will NOT deduct a penny from the dividend in your RRSP account
It seems that even you have these products in your RRSP accounts, you can not avoid such loss for some funds. There are many kind of formation style of CA based US funds. Some of them you can and others you can not.
